The Mission for our Children's Ministries is to make disciples for Jesus Christ by:
C reating a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for all children.
H elping them to grow in their Christian faith.

Sunday School:
Each Sunday morning children, ages 2 and up, receive Christian education in a caring and nurturing environment.
9:15 - Separate classes for each age level/grade
11:00- Children start in worship with their parents and then those in grades K-3 may go to the mixed-age class
before the sermon begins. Preschoolers may go to the nursery.
Nursery care is provided during both 9:15 and 11:00 services.
Every Summer, children from the church and the community enjoy a week of faith-building, fun and
fellowship. VBS is typically scheduled for the last week of July. more>>
Throughout the year, the children participate in various mission projects, such as Thanks-giving and
Easter food baskets, Operation Christmas Child, putting together health and school kits for children
in need, just to name a few.
LOGOS is an after-school program for children in grades K-12 that meets on Wednesdays, after school. The
program consists of four parts: Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation & Play, and Family Time (dinner).
Each Christmas, the children help to celebrate the birth of Jesus by performing a Christmas program for our

Summer camping programs for all ages are offered by the Detroit Annual Conference of the United Methodist
Church. Descriptions of the various camps are available at umccamps.org. Scholarships are available through
church and the Detroit Conference.
