“LIVIN’ IN THE MITTEN”  SERVICE AUCTION
We are excited to announce our First Annual LOUMC Church Service Auction on September 19th 2026, from 5-8 at the Legacy Center in Oxford.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to share our talents, creativity, and hospitality, and will enhance relationships in our church community. This special event allows church members and friends to auction off an experience, event, or service to others in the congregation. Events may be hosted in your home, at the church, or in the community.
Examples of auction offerings might include: 

• Hosting a themed dinner or lunch
• Organizing a game night, movie night, park hike, chili cookoff, trivia event, etc.
• Teaching a class (cooking, baking, crafts, painting, music, exercise, etc.)
• Pontoon ride, fireworks party etc. on the lake
• Hosting a sports watch party (MSU vs U of M, Kentucky Derby Party, etc.)
• Hosting a travelogue of a special trip
• A weekend away at your cottage or condo
• Parents Night Out-babysitting in your home
• Services (yard work, car wash, home organization, musical presentation, etc.)

Be creative!  This is a chance to share your interests and gifts with others.  Talk to friends in the congregation about working together to plan an event. How It Works: 1) Members submit a description of the event or service they would like to offer, how many they can accommodate, and a suggested date or timeline. 2) Services will be listed and open for bidding during the auction event in September. 3) The highest bidder(s) win the event or service. 4) Hosts will contact the winning bidders to share any needed information.  Your participation as a host, bidder or both will strengthen our church community and make this event a joyful success. All proceeds will go toward supporting our church ministry, building and programs. More details on the auction will be shared soon.  Let’s come together in fellowship, joy, and generosity!
