First Delivery of 2024 Blessings in a Brown Bag Program
We are hoping that you can help us feed our Lake Orion children that are using the Free & Reduced Lunch Program in school. For the summer, these children are on their own for food. Our BBB Program will help feed the family with the staples that you help us pack and deliver.
The Blessings in a Big Bag program will start in June.
Once a month we will give Meijer gift cards purchased from our script program to allow the purchase of fresh fruit and milk. In addition, every other week we will deliver grocery staples. If you care to purchase the below items we could use to fill the Big Bag, please leave them on the counter in the Blue Room (room #103).
Peanut Butter - Jelly/Jam - Pancake Mix - Pancake Syrup
Breakfast Cereal - Breakfast Granola Bars - Boxed Mac & Cheese
Spaghetti/Elbow Macaroni - Spaghetti Sauce - Velveeta Cheese
The cost of sponsoring a child for the summer last year was $200+ and probably more this year. Last year we provided for almost 60 children. We were underfunded and hope that it doesn’t happen again this year. We really could use your additional funds in our glass case in the office. Your dollars and your change helps feed our kids.
