United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole perons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The UWF meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am. We currently meet in the overflow room number 120. All ladies are welcome!
Here at LOUMC we have a group of women that serve God and others by providing outreaching ministries as well as caring ministries to our church and community. The United Methodist Women in Faith (UWF) meet the second Thursday of the month (September through May) in the Overflow room at 10:00 a.m. There is a monthly program with a business meeting afterwards. Please join us! At LOUMC our group of women seek to serve God and others by providing outreach ministries as well as ministries to our church family.
UWF sponsors a Christ-based reading program with books that are placed in the church library that is optional for our members - the 2023 books have just been added. From cleaning pill bottles for third-world countries who do not have that resource to our annual nut sale that allows us to contribute to the national UWF, to organizing bake sales to raise funds for local charities - we empower our members to make a difference.
United Methodist Women in Faith is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.
