The steps taken for online offerings are highly secure, simple and allow for one time giving or recurring offerings. The guidelines you establish can be updated as you wish. Please be aware that using a credit card, that a fee is taken out of the total amount. While you are credited with the full amount, the church only gets a reduced amount.
Humanitarian Ukraine, International and U.S. Disaster Response Donations
As the humanitarian relief and development arm of the United Methodist Church, UMCOR assists United Methodists and churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need. UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human-caused disasters – famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire or other events—to alleviate suffering and serve as a source of help and hope for the vulnerable. UMCOR provides relief, response and long-term recovery grants when events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own. UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery, and long-term health and development.
Founded over 75 years ago, UMCOR is often the first on the scene (rivaled only by the Red Cross) and is often the last agency to leave, making sure those on the ground are not abandoned too soon as the news cycle inevitably moves on. We can take healthy pride in our collective ability, through UMCOR, to make such an enormous difference in the world in the name and Spirit of Christ.
